Promotion introduces Suishin, a popular Japanese restaurant specializing in Hiroshima cuisine. Located in Hiroshima City, Suishin is known for its delicious dishes featuring local ingredients such as oysters and eel. The restaurant takes pride in using only domestically sourced eel and follows traditional cooking methods unique to traditional Japanese cuisine. Recently, Suishin has added new menu items to its already enticing selection. These include the "Thick-cut Eel Cutlet," which offers a crispy yet tender eel cutlet, and the "Eel and Cheese Spring Roll," a spring-themed dish featuring asparagus, cheese, and eel wrapped in a crunchy spring roll pastry. Suishin also offers a variety of other dishes, including the famous Kamameshi and seasonal delicacies. Guests can enjoy their meals in the restaurant's numerous private rooms, making it suitable for various celebratory occasions or family gatherings.

This was one of the better meals I've had on this trip. This is a traditional Japanese restaurant. Sis got the sushi set which she says was the best she has had. I got the miso oyster udon which was a seasonal dish. Oysters were fresh and the miso broth was very tasty. The server was very nice and explained to us the dish (although in Japanese which I don't understand). Nevertheless we felt welcomed and thought that it was a good quality meal and was well worth the visit. Wouldn't mind going back again next time I am in Hiroshima.
Note that you have to take off your shoes before heading to the second floor.
One of the few non-smoking places with high quality sushi and flavored rice pot (kamameshi). Family friendly staff and efficient serving of food. Visited several times for lunch, dinner, and group banquet. Favorite dish is Grand Tuna Sushi Plate. Used to have stone-grilled Hiroshima steak but sad to see it gone from the menu.
It took me a while to catch that the Kanji on the menu phonetically sounded as meh-nyu, which seems to use Kanji to mimic the English word, menu, without using western alphabet.
oyster hot pot is nice
Best restaurant experience in Hiroshima
Nice
I had a preconceived notion that eating in Hiroshima would be difficult for people from the Kanto region, so I called to make a reservation, but no matter how many times I called, I just got a message saying ``The place is busy'' and couldn't get through. In desperation, I dialed a different number I saw on another site and was connected in one call. I was worried that I was losing a lot of customers just because of this.
I managed to get a reservation, and when I entered the restaurant on time, I was guided to a private room with a sunken kotatsu that looked comfortable. Order the conger eel course. You can enjoy thinly sliced conger eel and shabu-shabu, which are usually hard to eat.
Of course, this won't fill you up on its own, but it will be a good way to sample some of Hiroshima's most representative dishes. I also ordered simmered sea bream and oyster porridge, and the simmered sea bream was definitely exquisite.
Great food, high quality service!
When it comes to Hiroshima cuisine, personally, I prefer the Suishin kamameshi rather than the okonomiyaki! !
I ordered the limited-time chestnut, mushroom, and sweet potato kamameshi. Kamameshi filled with the flavors of autumn is nothing short of amazing! It's so delicious that I can't express it in words. The luxurious kamameshi is truly the best. The boiled fish was also exquisite.
The boiled fish came before the kamameshi, so I was careful not to accidentally eat the boiled fish first, but it was so delicious I couldn't hold my chopsticks down. .
I arrived as soon as the store opened, and it quickly filled up, probably because the number of seats inside was quite limited. By the time we finished eating, there was a line outside. It is said that it takes about 30 minutes for the kamameshi to be prepared, so if you want to be sure to go, be sure to make a reservation. (*´∀`*)
